Silver-Gate College Hosts Colourful Matriculation and Graduation Event in Zaria
Zaria, Kaduna State – Silver-Gate College of Health Sciences and Technology held a vibrant and memorable event marking both the matriculation of new students and the graduation of its outgoing class. The occasion, which took place at the College Auditorium behind Zaria Township Stadium, attracted students, staff, dignitaries, and community leaders.

The event began with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of distinguished members of the high table, including Dr. Muhammed M. Madaki, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Dr. Jummai Aliyu, Zonal Director (PHC); and Mall. Hussaini Ahmad, District Head of Dogarawa.

Highlights of the day included inspiring speeches from key stakeholders. The School Director, Mal. Musa Abdulghaniyu, delivered a compelling opening address emphasizing the importance of discipline, dedication, and excellence in the health sciences. This was followed by remarks from the School Registrar, Dr. Ismail T. Baba, and Heads of Departments from the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) programs—Mall. Tukur Muhammed, The HOD Community health was absent due to cogent reasons.

Adding a touch creativity to the program were performances by both staff and students which captivated the audience with the rendition of the CHEW anthem.


Mall. Abdulhafeez Bello and Mr. Mathias Ochayi introduced the matriculating and graduating students, respectively.
A major highlight of the event was the award presentation ceremony, where deserving students and staff were recognized for their outstanding contributions and academic performance.

The program ended with a closing speech by Mall. Yahaya Hassan and a final prayer led by Mrs. Eunice Ochayi.
The event not only marked a significant milestone in the academic journey of the students but also reinforced the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, professional ethics, and community service.
